AV Asbestos offers a comprehensive professional management service designed to deal with all aspects of asbestos for those that have duty holder responsibilities for non-domestic properties under the The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012: 2nd Edition 2013 (CAR 2012/2013).

The service maybe either:

• in support of the client’s existing asbestos management strategy; or
• totally managing the client’s asbestos risks, saving the client valuable time that is needed to deal with the asbestos regulations and safety.

Our management services include:

• consulting on (and if required, instigating) the client’s asbestos management strategy including preparing the supporting documentation;
• documenting the client’s control of asbestos, and so keeping its asbestos risk register (a legal requirement) up-to-date;
• scheduling of reviewing previously identified problematic areas to make sure the risks have not worsened;
• performing these scheduled inspections, by visiting the site and investigating whether or not the asbestos (or presumed asbestos) containing material has deteriorated;
• re-surveying the location, if the review demonstrates an increased risk;
• monitoring staff-training requirements, particularly scrutinising staff changes;
• integrating the resulting documentation into the client’s business systems;
• where needed (where employees have been exposed to excessive levels of asbestos), the scheduling and organising of health monitoring;
• organising and monitoring of the removal and or encapsulation of material containing asbestos; and
• liaising with other interested parties on the client’s behalf, these may include architects, civil engineers, construction companies, local authorities, etc.
